Terms of Use and Community Rules

Zero tolerance

Countermoves has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. These rules apply to everything you do in the app: the name you choose, what you type, and what you ask the AI to help with.

What is not allowed

• League names that are sexual, hateful, harassing or threatening, or that impersonate someone.
• Using Counter, Practice or Review to create sexual content, content involving anyone under 18, harassment, threats, or content about illegal drugs, weapons or dangerous acts.
• Pushing past a no. If someone says stop, the conversation is over, in Practice and in real life.
• Using Countermoves if you are under 16. Practice is for 18 and over.

What we do

• Names and AI results are filtered in code, and the AI features refuse requests that break these rules.
• Every report reaches us, and we review every report within 24 hours.
• We remove names that break these rules from every board, and we remove users who abuse the league or the AI features from the league and the service.

Reporting

Use Report on any Counter reply, Practice chat (the flag in the chat header, or long-press a message), the review after a Practice chat, or any Review result. You can also report or hide a name in the league. Or email support@countermoves.app.

AI features

Counter, Practice and Review use Claude, an AI made by Anthropic, and only after you allow it in the app. Practice characters are AI, not real people, and every person pictured in the app is AI-generated. AI suggestions can be wrong or unsuitable: you decide what you send to anyone.

Subscriptions

Countermoves Pro is billed by Apple and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
